Lebron Vs Warriors rivalry continues. There is a lot of history here in this match up as we all know. This is a championship caliber series coming before us. Both teams are built for the match up against each other. Lakers VS Warriors begins
For the Lakers their biggest factors will be the play and dominance of Anthony Davis as well as a need of dominant offensive performances from Lebron. I am sure that they will deliver. As history has shown us before Lebron drops numbers against the Warriors win or lose. This is when we really get to see if Dillon Brooks claim of Lebron being “old” is real. This Lakers team is very talented with Lebron having the luxury to not have to take over games. Andrew Wiggins will be the primary defender for Lebron in this one. A.D’s MVP level ascension will also be on display. He has been the best rim protector in these playoffs. The Lakers interior defense is very stingy and disruptive. Much of Steph’s drives to the basket wont be as much of a factor with a better defensive Lakers team. The battle of the boards is what I would call down low with Kevon Looney against A.D. Looney is a tenacious monster when it comes to getting rebounds. He grasped 20+ boards in the series against the Kings. A.D will definitely be challenged in this realm.
Now the Warriors are going to lean on their back court jump shooting to stretch them over the top. Curry’s reverse gravity effect could have the Lakers perimeter defenders in shambles trying to keep up. When his happens it gives Warriors players opportunity’s to attack closeouts for a high chance score. The Warriors will definitely need offensive step ups from their perimeter players in Klay Thompson, Jordan Poole, and Andrew Wiggins. Inconsistencies were shown in the 7 game series against the Kings. That should be ok because with this kind of depth the hot hand will surely rotate when there’s less margin for error.
